Gold price dips by Rs 1,700 per tola after record high

Silver also slides by Rs 15 per tola from Wednesday's peak

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 25

After several days of breaking records, the domestic gold market saw a sharp correction today, with prices falling by Rs 1,700 per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 221,300 per tola, down from its historic high of Rs 223,000 per tola recorded on Wednesday.

Silver prices also eased, dropping Rs 15 per tola to Rs 2,685, compared to the record Rs 2,700 per tola set a day earlier.
