Silver also slips by Rs 15 per tola in domestic market

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 19

The price of gold fell by Rs 1,200 per tola in the domestic market on Tuesday, reversing Monday's short-lived rebound.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is now being traded at Rs 195,100 per tola, down from Rs 196,300 per tola on Monday.

The fall comes a day after gold gained Rs 800 per tola following several days of steady decline, which began after it hit a record high of Rs 199,400 per tola on Shrawan 21.

Silver prices also slipped, dropping Rs 15 per tola. It is being traded at Rs 2,300 per tola today, compared to Rs 2,315 per tola on Monday.
