KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 8

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has forecast generally cloudy weather in Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, as well as in the hilly regions of the country on Wednesday. The remaining Terai regions are expected to witness partly cloudy skies.

According to the DHM, there are chances of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim, and at one or two locations in the other provinces.

For tonight, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, and the hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country will experience mainly fair conditions. Light rainfall is possible at one or two places in these areas.

In its meteorological analysis, the DHM stated that the western parts of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces are under the influence of westerly winds, while the remaining regions are being affected by weak monsoon and local winds.

In the Kathmandu Valley, the weather will remain generally cloudy with possible rain or thundershowers, with daytime temperatures ranging between 26°C and 28°C and a 30% chance of rainfall. Tonight, the minimum temperature is expected to hover between 17°C and 19°C, with a 20% chance of rain.
