Kathmandu Valley likely to see brief rain or thundershowers this afternoon
KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 5
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has forecast generally cloudy weather across Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces today, while the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy conditions.
Moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at one or two locations in the hilly and Tarai regions of the remaining provinces.
Tonight, the weather will remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, and partly cloudy elsewhere. Moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible at a few places in the hilly and Tarai areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
According to the DHM, monsoonal winds continue to influence the country's weather pattern.
In the Kathmandu Valley, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy with brief rain or thundershowers this afternoon, with temperatures ranging between 26°C and 28°C and a 30 percent chance of rain. Tonight, the Valley is likely to remain partly cloudy, with a minimum temperature between 17°C and 19°C and no significant chance of rainfall.
