PM Karki Directs Officials to Ensure Smooth Passport Distribution

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 4
Prime Minister Sushila Karki has sought an update from officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Department of Passport regarding the status of passport distribution.
Officials from the ministry and the department were summoned to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar today, where the Prime Minister was briefed on the current state of passport issuance, according to the Prime Minister's Press Coordinator, Ram Bahadur Rawal.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Karki instructed Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, Department Director General Tirtha Raj Aryal, and other concerned officials to ensure that no disruptions occur in passport-related services.
PM Karki also directed them to immediately devise contingency plans to avert any potential shortage of passports.
