KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 9
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal organized a K-Food Festival on Saturday at the Ambassador's residence in Kathmandu. The event brought together Nepali returnees from Korea and Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) alumni to share experiences and Korean cuisine.
Ambassador Taeyoung Park highlighted the festival as a meaningful occasion for returnee workers and alumni to reconnect through food and memories of Korea. He also emphasized the growing popularity of Korean culture in Nepal, including K-pop, K-dramas, and Korean cuisine.
The festival was organized as part of the Korean government's Returnee Workers' Reintegration Program, following the K-Food Entrepreneurship Training Program held in Kathmandu in August. The initiative supports job creation and promotes entrepreneurship among Nepali youth.
According to the Embassy, about 35 participants, including Embassy staff, attended the program.
