KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 9

CPN (UML) Chair KP Sharma Oli has urged the authorities not to restrict his movement or passport, nor to prohibit the peaceful demonstration planned by the Youth Association Nepal (YAN), the party's youth wing.

Addressing the third meeting of the YAN Central Committee on Sunday, the party chair and former prime minister said that the democratic rights achieved through long struggles must be exercised without obstruction.

He also called on the authorities to grant permission for peaceful demonstrations upon prior notification to the administration and police.

'We are not infiltrators, but a legitimate political force with a long history of advocating for change and progress,' he said, urging the government not to suppress peaceful protests, which are rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
