KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 16

The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has announced a fresh hike in fuel prices, effective from midnight Saturday.

A meeting of the NOC Board of Directors decided to increase petrol prices by Rs 2 per litre, and diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 per litre.

With the revision, consumers in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal will now pay Rs 161 per litre for petrol and Rs 147 per litre for both diesel and kerosene.

According to NOC, the adjustment was necessary as the latest consignments from the Indian Oil Corporation arrived with higher prices.
