The programme also highlighted Nepal's long-standing contribution to global peacekeeping, with the country being one of the world's leading troop-contributing nations. The event featured the unveiling of a 'UN Nepal 70' mural in multiple languages, including Braille, and concluded with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Peacekeepers' Memorial to honour 87 Nepali peacekeepers who lost their lives in UN missions.
