KATHMANDU, JANUARY 29 Global IME Bank Limited has launched a new service that allows customers to open bank accounts directly through a self-service kiosk machine installed at its branch offices, aiming to provide simpler, more convenient, and technologically advanced banking services. The bank introduced the facility on the occasion of its 19th anniversary. Through this service, customers can independently open a bank account using a kiosk machine located at the bank's Kamaladi branch in Kathmandu. To open an account, customers are required to enter all necessary details via the kiosk machine. After submitting the required information and documents, an account number is issued. At present, the service is available only through the bank's Digital Universe at the Kamaladi branch. Earlier, the bank had been offering services such as cash deposits and cheque deposits through machines at the same Digital Universe. The bank has stated that it plans to expand such digital services to other locations in the future.
