Pakistan Embassy hosts art exhibition showcasing Pakistan through Nepali artist's work

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 30 The Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu hosted an art exhibition and artist talk titled 'Colours of Pakistan through the Brush of a Nepali Artist' on January 28, highlighting the works of renowned Nepali artist Bidhata KC inspired by her artistic journey in Pakistan. The exhibition, held at the Embassy premises, drew art enthusiasts, cultural practitioners, civil society representatives, media professionals, social media influencers, and members of the diplomatic community. The diverse attendance reflected growing interest in cultural exchange and people-to-people ties between Nepal and Pakistan. During the program, Bidhata KC shared her experiences from participating in the Artist Residency Program for South Asian Countries in Pakistan. She spoke about her travels across the country and how Pakistan's landscapes, heritage, and cultural diversity influenced her artwork. The artist expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu for the opportunity and appreciated the hospitality and cultural richness she experienced during her stay. Addressing the gathering, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Abrar Hashmi, praised the artist's creative interpretation of Pakistan through a Nepali perspective and emphasized the role of cultural diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations. He reaffirmed the Embassy's commitment to promoting cultural understanding and shared heritage between the two countries. On the occasion, the Embassy also announced that a Pakistan Food Festival will be held in Kathmandu from February 5 to 7, 2026, offering another platform to showcase Pakistan's culture and cuisine.
