KATHMANDU, MARCH 18 The weather across Nepal is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy on Wednesday, with chances of light rain and snowfall in some areas. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the mountainous regions will remain generally cloudy, while hilly and Terai regions will see partly cloudy conditions. There is a possibility of light rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces during the day. Tonight, the weather is likely to remain generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali, Sudurpashchim and Gandaki provinces, with chances of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in Sudurpashchim. Meteorologists said the current weather pattern is influenced by a western low-pressure system combined with local winds. In the Kathmandu Valley, the day is expected to remain partly cloudy with temperatures ranging between 24°C and 26°C, while nighttime conditions will be mostly fair, with minimum temperatures between 9°C and 11°C.
