KATHMANDU: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav called on Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala at the latter’s residence in Maharajgunj on Sunday. The President inquired about Koirala’s health condition.

According to sources, they discussed contemporary issues of the country including the upcoming the President’s India visit. Koirala has been ill since Friday night. Saturday’s scheduled meet of the High- Level Political Mechanism was postponed due to Koirala’s poor health.

Former PM Koirala is also the coordinator of the HLPM comprising the members from the main opposition party UCPN-Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and chairman of CPN-UML Jhalanath Khanal. Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal is also an invitee member of the HLPM.
