RAUTAHAT: Police have apprehended two persons with possession of psychoactive drugs. The suspects have been identified as Krishna Prasad Dulal (48) and Tej Bahadur Dhakal (32) of Sindhureghari of Chandrapur Municipality-14. Acting on a tip-off, a police team deployed from the District Police Office, Rautahat, nabbed the duo during a security-check in front of the Gaur Customs Office. They were heading towards Nepal from India with the pharmaceutical drugs when police nabbed them. According to a preliminary investigation, drug peddlers of Nepal, taking the advantage of open border, have been involved in smuggling drugs from India. Police said that they have confiscated Nitravet tablets and Norphin injections among drugs from their possession. DSP Sudheer Raj Shahi said that they are investigating into the case.
