CHITWAN: A man was killed after being struck by lightning in the remote Siddhi VDC of the district. Lok Bahadur Chepang,45, a resident of Siddhi VDC-2 died on the spot after being hit by lightning, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan. The incident took place when rain lashed the area with heavy winds followed by lightning. Deaths to lightning have become common in the rural parts of the district, with monsoon approaching. In a similar incident on June 1, Nani Maya Praja (Chepang) of Lothar VDC died after being struck by the abrupt lightning. A total of eight people were injured in the incident.
