KATHMANDU: A youth has been arrested on Saturday for his alleged involvement in a theft case in Thamel of the Capital nearly two weeks ago. Shambhu Raj Giri (22) from Sapinga VDC-3 of Kavre, currently residing in Galkopakha of Thamel, was arrested on charge of stealing gold jewelleries and Nepali and foreign currencies from a Thamel-based apartment on June 23. A team from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division arrested him with the stolen items, police claimed. Police confiscated gems, jewelleries and foreign currencies from the suspect. He has been handed over to the Metropolitan Police Rage, Kathmandu, for further investigations and actions.
