CHITWAN: Various NGOs and individuals are all set to provide zinc sheets to victims of the earthquake, who were relocated to safer places, with the initiative of District Disaster Rescue Committee, Chitwan. “As many as 177 quake victims will receive zinc sheets,” said committee chairman also the CDO Binod Prakash Singh. He said he was committed to provide Rs 27 lakh to buy 360 bundles of zinc sheets. “But it is very difficult to buy them as zinc sheets are scarce in the market,” he added. Earlier, the committee had decided to relocate victims of hilly areas to safer places in the district. Singh said temporary settlements would be established with the help of security personnel, cadres of different political parties and locals after distributing zinc sheets. Snakebite kills boy DIPAYAL: A boy died after he was bitten by a snake at Ranaguan VDC, Doti on Sunday morning. The deceased has been identified as Dharme Luhar’s son Rakesh, 3.
