Birgunj, August 24 Thori denizens in Parsa have been irked by the conclusion of the Constitution Drafting Committee to roll back their earlier decision of merging Thori area into Province No 3 in Chitwan. Top leaders of the major political parties had proposed to merge Thori of Parsa into Province No 3 in Chitwan, in the seven-province federal model. However, the CDC at the Constituent Assembly had changed the Constitutional Political Dialogue Committee’s report of the merger and decided to keep Thori in Parsa. Following the same, Thori Struggle Coordinator Prakash Khanal warned of picketing the CA hall and staging indefinite sit-in in front of the hall. Khanal added that no one had the right to decide against people’s sentiments. Local Social worker Kishor Tamang said the denizens would boycott the CA members if they failed to abide by the people’s sentiments. Agitating locals staged a rally against the political parties in Thori area and accused some CA members of not respecting people’s sentiments.
