KALIKOT: Finance Minister Ram Sharan Mahat on Thursday said the constitution has given special priority to Karnali. Mahat, who was monitoring the Karnali corridor linking Simikot of Humla to Hilsa, border of China, said Karnali’s development would now gain momentum. Addressing a programme at Lalighat Regil Cliff at Ruku VDC, Mahat directed the bodies concerned to expedite work on the Karnali corridor by using human resources and technology available with the Nepali Army. Stating that the corridor would not face budget crunch as it is a project of national pride, he assured he would arrange the required budget. He said, “Carry out works as soon as possible. I will make arrangement for the required budget.
