Kathmandu, September 28 President of the Finance Committee under the Legislature-Parliament Prakash Jwala, has stressed the need to open the border check points with China as an alternative measure to ease the import of daily essentials. At a seminar organised by the Nepal Pavilion Company and Nepal Management Association here today, Jwala urged the government to make supply of daily essentials smooth by opening the border check points after holding serious discussion with Chinese government. Stating that the goods to be imported by Nepal from second and third countries during the period of globalisation could not be blocked, he expressed the view that the government and political parties should develop their capacity to ensure smooth supply of goods. He said, “The new constitution has already addressed most of the demands of the Madhes-based political parties and the remaining issues could be addressed after amending the new constitution.” Similarly, Nepal Chamber of Commerce president Rajesh Kaji Shrestha said that it would further help create an environment for investment after formulation of the Economic Act and open the gates of progress.
