Chitwan, September 29 Speaker Subas Chandra Nembang today argued that there was no option before the major political parties and the agitating forces other than sorting out their differences through talks. Speaking at a programme here, Nembang urged all and sundry to help in implementing the statute. “It’s after a long wait that the country has finally got the constitution, so it’s high time we Nepalis thought about how the statute could be implemented successfully,” Nembang said. Also ruing the unrest in the Tarai over the constitution, he urged all nationalist forces to unite in dealing with the situation. “The country is in a difficult phase now, so political parties should realise the situation and do the needful to facilitate the end the stalemate,” he said. Defending the promulgation of the constitution, Nembang further said: “Where on earth has the constitution been drafted with cent percent consensus. So we need to see this and accept it as there is always enough room for amending the constitution later, if required. Nembang clarified there were no problems in electing the new president and new vice-president after promulgation of the constitution.
