KATHMANDU: Police on Thursday arrested a trader for allegedly hoarding liquefied petroleum (cooking) gas. Suresh Nakarmi (42) from KMC-22 was arrested for hiding as many as 42 cylinders of gas so as to create an artificial shortage of fuel in the market. Police also seized 28 cylinders of LP gas of Narayani brand and 14 others of Lumbini brand, from his Suresh Store, in Tebahal, KMC-22. The Metropolitan Police Circle, Janasewa, had swung into action after getting a tip-off. Police are looking into the case.
