BHOJPUR: A motorcyclist died after being hit by a truck at Khanar, Itahari-12 of Sunsari district along the Koshi Highway on Sunday night. Seriously injured in the accident at around 10 pm yesterday, the motorcyclist Deepak Gautam (35) of Itahari-11 died on the way to Dharan for treatment, police said. He was heading to Ithari from Biratnagar on the two-wheeler (Ko 2 Pa 8557) when the truck (Na 2 Kha 3237) coming from the opposite direction hit him, said Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar. Mohammad Ali, the truck driver, a resident of Bara district, sustained minor injuries and is receiving treatment at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan, said police.
