DHANGADHI: The Kailali District Court sent 20 suspects of August 24 Tikapur carnage, in which eight police personnel and a child were killed, to judicial custody for further investigation. Those sent to the custody include Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Democratic central member Laxman Chaudhary and Tharu Kalyankari Sabha, Kailali district chairman Lahuram Chaudhary. Likewise, the Court sent two minors to juvenile detention, SP Rajendra Bista of Kailali District Police Office said. The Kailali DPO had indicted 58 persons for their alleged involvement in the fatal incident. Of them, 36 are still on the run. SP Bista said police are minutely looking into the case.
