The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 20.27 points, or 0.73 per cent, on Monday to settle at 2,735.14 points by the close of trading.
The Sensitive Index fell by 0.55 per cent, while the Float Index dropped by 0.66 per cent.
All sectors ended in the red, with the exception of the Finance sector, which recorded a gain of 0.26 per cent. Among the decliners, the Trading sector lost the most at 1.77 per cent, followed by the Others sector with a decline of 1.49 per cent. No sector recorded a loss exceeding 1 per cent.
The market recorded a daily turnover of Rs 4.084 billion from the exchange of 9,236,677 units of shares of 345 companies through 56,845 transactions.
In terms of individual scrip movement, 42 stocks advanced, 222 declined, and six remained unchanged.
