RAUTAHAT: Five people have been injured in a road accident at Jaynagar along the Gaur-Chandranigahapur road section today. The accident took place when two motorcycles bearing Indian registration number plates collided with each other. Conditions of all the injured were critical according to the Area Police Office, Garuda. The injured have been identified as Kaisar Alam and Santaraj Alam of Rajpur Tulasi VDC-4 and Rakesh Mandal and Sheshraj Nepali of Piprarahawada VDC-3. The identity of an elderly man has not been ascertained yet. Two of the injured have been sent to Birgunj for further treatment while the other three are undergoing treatment at Anamika Hospital at Garuda Municipality, said police. Police have impounded both motorcycles for the investigation.
