41 fuel tankers enter

JHAPA: A total of 41 tankers ferrying petroleum products entered Nepal from various Nepal-India border points on Wednesday. Of them, 17 tankers with the fuel entered the country’s territory via Kakadbhitta border point. Nirman Bhattarai, Mechi Revenue Office Officer, said eight tankers carrying diesel, four LPG bullets, three tankers with petrol, one with kerosene and one carrying aviation turbine fuel entered Nepal along with 50 trucks carrying daily essentials. Similarly, at least 24 tankers filled with petroleum products entered the country via Jamunaha border in Nepalgunj after 2:00pm on Wednesday. Of them, 23 tankers imported diesel whereas one carried petrol. The leaders and cadres of the United Democratic Madhesi Front staged a sit-in at the border to pressure the government demanding decisive dialogue on Wednesday.
