WARSAW: Poland's treasury ministry says it will appoint a new head of the Warsaw Stock Exchange as soon as possible after its chief resigned this week following a government change. Pawel Tamborski submitted his resignation on Wednesday, just weeks after a new conservative government took office. In his resignation statement, Tamborski said the capital market needs 'stability and predictability' and that he did not want it to be 'entangled in political games.' The resignation is effective December 31. The Ministry said in a statement on its website Friday that the resignation 'met the Treasury Minister's expectations' and a new head will be named as soon as possible. Tamborski was appointed in the summer of 2014, under the previous, pro-business government.
