KATHMANDU: A gathering of women has demanded the government and other bodies concerned immediately begin peace talks as the women and children in the kingdom have been the worst-hit in the 12-year conflict. The gathering was organised by the Nepal Democratic Women’s Association Central Secretariat. KU panel meet

KATHMANDU: The 38th meeting of the Kathmandu University Assembly held on Thursday has approved the University Regulation on Research-2005 and nominated four individuals as members of the University Academic Council. The nominated persons are Professor Suvas KC, Dr Rana Bahadur Kshetri, Dr Bhola Thapa and Dr Shekhar Babu Rijal. The meeting also decided on the programmes and details of income and expenditure of estimated Rs 365.5 million of the university for the fiscal year 2005/06. — RSS
