One held on charge of setting Kantipur vehicle on fire

BARA: Police on Tuesday arrested a youth for his alleged involvement in the December 27 arson of Kantipur Publication's vehicle at Parwanipur in Parsa. Police team deployed from the Simara Area Police Office arrested Santosh Kumar Yadav, who is chairperson of Tarai Madhes Student Front, this morning from Parwanipur Chok along the Birgunj-Pathlaiya road. He was taking part in fresh protest there. According to Inspector Puruspottam Khadka, Yadav was arrested on charge of vandalism and arson. Yadav was presented before the District Court and remanded in the custody for further investigation. Issuing a press statement on Tuesday, United Democratic Madhesi Front accused police of filing fake case against Yadav.
