KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Thursday said her responsibility would be fulfilled with elections of local bodies, the Federal Parliament and the Provincial Assemblies as well as an easy implementation of the Constitution. The President made the remark during a meeting with journalists covering the parliamentary affairs at the Sheetal Niwas. The journalists had wished for a successful tenure to the President. Insisting on unbounded possibilities of development in Nepal on a par with natural resources, geographical and social diversity, President Bhandari pressed for finding a path of prosperity with the use of water resources, agriculture, tourism and forest areas coupled with peace and political stability in the country. The President further added that responsible politics must be associated with development while moving forward. She expressed her belief that temporary problems would gradually fade away in course of steps to end the country's dependence on other countries. Whether the country is small or big, the definition of a nation and democracy is the same, President Bhandari said while attributing the current problems to lack of necessary discussion and home work on federalism which must enshrine natural, cultural and social diversity. The President emphasised finding a solution to incomplete issues of the Constitution through amendment processes. In capacity of being the patron and follower of the Constitution, President Bhandari said she was working for preservation of nationality in line with the responsibility coming from the Constitution.
