Rautahat, January 28 Nari, a non-governmental organisation based in Pokhara, in coordination with Rautahat chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalists distributed quilts and mattresses to 150 Dalit families of Gaur in Rautahat today. Quilts and mattresses were distributed keeping in view the sufferings of the poor and the needy with the onset of cold wave in the district. Sushma Poudel of the social organisation said she was happy to distribute the blankets and other items to the needy people. Programme coordinator Mamata Gurung said that women members of the organisation had jointly contributed for the quilts and mattresses. Meanwhile, Chairman Sailendra Gupta of FNJ, Rautahat chapter, people from the Dalit settlements were happy after receiving quilts and blankets in chilly winter.
