ITAHARI: Police on Tuesday said that a motorcyclist died on the spot and a minor died in two separate road accidents. Police said Yam Bahadur Rai of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-13 died and a woman was critically injured after a road accident in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City-4, Sunsari on Tuesday. Police said the motorcycle (Ko 13 Pa 9119) was hit by the tipper (Me 1 Kha 1822) while travelling in the same direction, police said. Identity of the pillion rider woman is yet to be ascertained. Police said that she was rushed to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences. The vehicle has been impounded and the driver has been arrested for further investigations, police added. Meanwhile, a minor died after truck hit him in Ratnanagar, Chitwan, on Monday evening. Four-year-old Ankush Mishra died on the spot after the truck (Na 5 Kha 154) hit him along the road at Ratnanagar Municipality-7, the District Police Office, Chitwan, said. Police said that the Mishra family, originally from Maharashtra in India, is residing in Ratnanagar. Investigation into the case is underway, police informed.
