Biker, pillion rider killed in Itahari tipper-bike collision

BHOJPUR:
A biker and a pillion rider were killed in a tipper-motorcycle collision in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City on Tuesday. According to the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, biker Yam Rai (35) of Dharan died on the spot when the tipper (Me 1 Kha 1822) hit the two-wheeler (Ko 13 Pa 9119) at Halgada Chowk, Itahari, along the Koshi Highway yesterday. Pillion rider Dhan Kumari Rai, who was critically injured in the incident, breathed her last during the course of treatment at the BP Koirala Institue of Health Sciences (BPKIHS). Police said that they have impounded the tipper and arrested its driver for investigation.
