Chitwan woman killed in elephant attack

CHITWAN: An elderly woman died in an elephant attack in Madi Municipality-12 of Chitwan district. The District Police Office, Chitwan, said that Sukmaya Magar, who had gone to Dabai River in the Chitwan National Park for fishing, was trampled to death by an elephant. However, Magar's husband, Dal Bahadur, managed to escape the incident. According to police, Magar's body was brought to Bharatpur this afternoon only, though the incident had taken place on Thursday afternoon.
