No power outage after two years

SALYAN: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kamal Thapa, claimed that the power outage would be ended within next two years. Inaugurating the 22nd District Council organised at Khalanga on Sunday, DPM Thapa said that the government was making every possible efforts to end the power crisis. He said, 'We have been creating environment conducive to complete the construction of ongoing Hydro projects within two years. Process has been forwarded to purchase 600MW electricity from India.' The DPM, on different note, said that the Nepal-India relations have got new height after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's India visit. 'All misunderstandings surfaced between the two countries have fizzled out', said the DPM, adding PM's India visit became very successful. He said that Prime Minister Oli would go for China visit within a few days. DPM Thapa expressed the view that friendly relations should be maintained with neighbours to attract investment.
