TOT on business ethics & CSR begins

Kathmandu, March 1 A five-day intensive Masters' Training of Trainers on Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility began today. The training is being organised by Prime College in collaboration with National Business Initiatives, World Forum for Ethics in Business, ENGAGE and BBA Association. According to the college, the main purpose of the programme is to produce competent instructors for MGT 209 Business Ethics and Social Responsibility, a new course prescribed for sixth semester of Bachelor of Business Administration. Naresh Prasad Shrestha, principal of Prime College, said, “Since businessmen today are only interested in making profits, the new course is designed to provide student with knowledge and skills to handle their businesses as well remind them of their social responsibility,” he said, adding, “The course has been designed to teach them the necessity of moral values.” Experts such as Narayan Manadhar will train teachers from more than a dozen colleges, including Shankar Dev Campus, Nepal Commerce Campus and Public Youth Campus in Kathmandu, Mahendra Morang Campus in Biratnagar, and Janapriya Campus in Pokhara, among others.
