KATHMANDU: As many as 365 persons filed their candidacies for the Central Working Committee (CWC) membership in the Nepali Congress (NC). According to the NC 13th national general convention Election Committee coordinator Radheshyam Adhikari, 365 persons filed their candidacies till Friday noon, the deadline set to file nominations. Nepali Congress Acting President Ram Chandra Paudel, senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and Krishna Prasad Sitaula are vying for the president of the party. Similarly, Shashank Koirala, Gagan Thapa and Arjun Narsingh KC are in the fray for the post of general secretary. Likewise, Chitra Lekha Yadav, Sita Devi Yadav, Uma Kanta Chaudhary and Krishna Bahadur Karki are competing for the post of treasurer. The Election Committee said that the initial name list of candidacies would be published at 2 pm today. Later, the Committee would provide time to complain over the names and withdraw their candidacies. The Committee would publish the final name list of the candidacies at 7 pm today. The election for all the posts would be held on Sunday.
