RAJBIRAJ: Three persons including two police personnel died in two road accidents in Saptari district on Saturday. The police constable duo – Suraj Chaudhary from Bhadgaun Sinuwari-8 of Sunsari district and Sitaram Khadka from Rampur Thoksila-1 of Udayapur district – died while a truck hit a motorbike they were riding on, in Madhupatti-9 of the district along the East-West Highway. The truck (Na 4 Kha 1430) heading toward the west had collided with the two-wheeler (Ba 22 Pa 8557) head-on today. The duo had sustained serious injuries in the accident and breathed their last while being rushed to Biratnagar of Morang, police said. The victims were deployed in a police post in Rani of Morang and were heading to Lahan of Siraha on an errand. Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man named Pappu Majhi from Bhardah-1 of the district died after being hit by a tractor today. Police are looking into both cases.
