Update Namibia have posted a target of 196 runs to Nepal in their match in the ICC World Cricket League Championship (WCLC) on Saturday. Winning the toss Namibia had decided to bat first. In the match being played at Tribhuvan University Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur, Namibia made a total of 195 runs with a loss of nine wickets in 50 overs. Basanta Regmi took three wickets for Nepal. Sompal Kami claimed two wickets. Sandeep Lamichhane and Paras Khadka took one wicket each. Nepal claimed the seventh wicket with a run out. The ninth wicket was also the run out. Sarel Burger of Namibia top scored with 38 runs with four 4s off 77 balls, Pikky Ya France and JJ Smit made 26 runs each.  France scored 26 runs with two 4s and two 6s off 47 balls and Smit contributed 26 runs with one 4 and two 6s off 22 balls. Likewise, Gerhard Erasmus scored 25 runs including four 4s off 38 balls. Similarly, Gerrie Snyamn contributed 23 runs with three 6s off 26 balls while Nicolaas Scholtz and Stephan Baard scored 18 runs each.  Scholtz scored 18 runs with one 4s off 52 balls and Baard contributed 18 runs with four 4s off eight balls. Zane Green scored 14 runs with three 4s off 21 balls while others failed to score in double figures. ICC World Cricket League Championship: Namibia win toss, opt to bat against Nepal KATHMANDU: Namibia won the toss and opted to bat against Nepal in the ICC World Cricket League Championship (WCLC) at Tribhuvan University Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur on Saturday. Nepal are at the bottom of the eight-team standings in the WCLC. Namibia are at the sixth position on the basis of run rate. The Netherlands is at the top of the table with 10 points from six games followed by Hong Kong (nine points), Scotland (seven points), Kenya (six points ) and Papua New Guinea (four points). Earlier, Nepal had lost to Scotland and Papua New Guinea (PNG) in the first two rounds. Namibia had edge Hong Kong and lost to Kenya. The top four teams would secure their berth in the 2018 ICC World Cup Qualifiers to be held in Bangladesh. Nepal and Namibia are under pressure to win both games to secure their berth.
