Kathmandu, May 1 Prisoners Assistance Mission (PAM) lifted the team championship of the seventh Ambika Bahadur Chhetri Memorial Valleywide Cadet and Junior Judo Tournament here today. PAM claimed 10 gold medals and one each silver and bronze. Hopyad finished second with four gold, two silver and a bronze. Uttam Pradhan of PAM and Bitisha Thapa Magar of Central Dozang were named the best players in sub-cadet category, while Sudesh Dong and Sharada Khatri received the best player’s trophy in junior section. Meanwhile, Nepal Judo Association felicitated the 12th SA Games gold medallist Phupu Lhamu Khatri with Rs 25,000, while silver medallists Lila Adhikari and Manita Shrestha Pradhan received Rs 5,000 each. The amount was raised by former judokas currently residing in Australia and former office assistant Mohan Bam.
