KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 26

National Assembly (NA) Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal has acknowledged that the NA has not been receiving adequate legislative business.

Speaking at an interaction with local-level representatives and heads of various offices in Chitwan today, Chair Dahal emphasized the need for the government to ensure a steady flow of legislative work to the House.

He remarked, "Law-making activities have not progressed in line with public expectations," admitting that the Assembly has fallen short in enacting necessary legislation.

On another note, he observed a lack of coordination, communication, and dialogue among local levels and other tiers of government.

Chair Dahal asserted that issues arising among the three levels of government could be resolved through discussions involving all seven provincial assemblies and local governments.
