Nepali migrant worker rescued from Qatar

KATHMANDU: The Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD) with the help of Qatar-based Nepali Embassy and other concerned authorites rescued a Nepali migrant worker, who was languishing in Qatar without food and adequate bedding for the past few months, on Tuesday. The MPCD said that Bishnu Adhikari (32) of Khimti-7, Ramechhap district was rescued and brought to Nepal. The MPCD swung into action on the basis of a complaint lodged by Adhikari's wife. Adhikari had gone to Qatar for foreign employment on February 2, 2016. Adhikari informed that he was not provided the job and salary that he was promised. Futher investigation into the incident is underway.
