BHOJPUR: Bodies of two mountain guides, who died due to altitude-sickness on Mt Makalu on Wednesday morning, have been stranded due to continuous bad weather at Camp II. The bodies of Dawa Tenji Sherpa, 35, of Jubing, Solukhumbu; and Lakpa Sherpa, 51, of Makalu, Sankhuwasabha; were stranded due to continuous snowfall. “No helicopter has been able to land at Makalu Base camp due to continuous blizzard,” said DSP Gautam Kumar KC. According to a police source, their bodies were recovered under their tent at a height of 8,300 metres on Mt Makalu.
