Kathmandu:

British Gorkha ultimately succeeded to bag the first prize in ‘Speed for Need-Go Kart Corporate Challenge 2005’ on September 3. The team displaying spectacular driving skills zoomed past their competitors from as early as the pre-qualifying round.

All through the competition the team captured spectators’ attention gathered at Soaltee Crowne Plaza Square. While Golchha Organisation succeeded to clinch the second prize, Spice Nepal won the third prize. The event was organised to support Rural Education and Development (READ), an NGO working for the upliftment of education in Nepal. Four participants each from 22 corporate houses had participated in the event.

American Embassy, Nabil Bank, Himalayan Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Himal Publications, BOSS Magazine, Kumari Bank, Bhotekoshi Power Company, Gorkha Brewery, Uni Lever, Bottlers Nepal, World Bank, International Resources Group, Galileo Nepal, DHL, The Himalayan Times, Qatar Airways and Soltee Crowne Plaza were the participants of the event.
