KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said Nepal's economic growth rate would be pushed up to 6.5 per cent in the coming Fiscal Year.

'Now, nobody can stop Nepal from moving towards progress. Nepal would march ahead as a dignified, prosperous and developed country,' the Prime Minister said. According to him, employment opportunities would be created from the bottom and thousands of people in villages would be benefited simultaneously. Stating that new transit points would be opened for shipping of cargo, he said the government would acquire a harbour after some time and also operate it. 'We ourselves will buy ship and bring goods into the country within three days. Ships flying the Nepali flag will sail in the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean,' he said. The Prime Minister, who is also the CPN-UML chairman, stated that the reconstruction works have been moved ahead in a speedy manner and the government was mobilizing volunteers for this purpose for 15 days from May 20. More than 200 women delegates from across the country are participating in ANWA council meeting which will last until Wednesday. ANWA is the women wing of the ruling CPN-UML.
