KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress General Secretary Shashanka Koirala's condition is improving and he has regained consciousness this morning, according to knowledgeable sources at the Om Hospital. The 58-year-year-old leader, however, is still on advanced life support at the Intensive Care Unit of the Chabahil-based hospital. He suffered from aspiration pneumonia followed by septic shock and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome yesterday. Koirala, though on sedation, had started showing some reflex and response to verbal commands of the attending medical personnel since yesterday evening. Doctors had considered those signs positive. Doctors, including Dr Luv Joshi, are currently examining him. The hospital is scheduled to organise a media briefing after 8 this morning. READ ALSO:
