KATHMANDU, MARCH 6

The hilly regions of the country experienced partially cloudy skies today, while the rest of the country remained mostly clear this morning. However, some areas in the Tarai witnessed light foggy conditions in the morning.

By the afternoon, the weather is expected to remain mostly fair, except for the hilly regions, where partial cloud cover will persist. This weather pattern is likely to continue through the night, according to the Meteorological Forecast Division (MFD).

Meanwhile, one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces may experience light snowfall tonight. In the next 24 hours, these provinces and a few mountainous areas are likely to receive light snowfall.

The MFD has also forecasted foggy conditions in some parts of the Tarai during the morning hours. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions due to the impact of fog on daily life, health, and transportation, including road and air travel.

The country is currently under the partial influence of a Western low-pressure system, contributing to the observed weather patterns.
