Rato Bangala win

KATHMANDU:

Rato Bangala School defeated Rhododendron International Boarding School (RIBS) 40-23 in the second match of the three-match final of the FedEx Fr Watrin Girls’ Basketball Tournament here today. Rato Bangala won the series 2-0, after defeating RIBS 32-14 in the first match on September 18. Rato Bangala’s Rina Rana was the highest scorer of the tournament. Neelisha Pradhan, manager of Everest De Cargo, licensee of FedEx, gave away prizes to the winners. — HNS

AXN Snooker

KATHMANDU:

Keshav Shrestha of Black Mud Snooker, Chhopel Lama of Antic Snooker, Binesh Dangol of Cosmos Snooker, and G R Khadka of Sakura Snooker entered the semi-finals of the AXN Snooker Championship, which has been organised by AXN Snooker to mark its first anniversary. The semi-finals and the final will be held on Thursday. The winner will receive Rs 10,000, while the runners-up will get Rs 5,000 and Rs 2,000 respectively. — HNS
