KATHMANDU: ZTE Corporation entered the Nepali market on August 2 with the launch of three smartphones in their Blade Series. Evolution Enterprise Pvt Ltd, its sole distributor in Nepal, launched the S6, D2 and D3 amidst a special function at Hotel Yak & Yeti. All three phones are spec-packed handsets and targets the youth who seek feature-loaded sets at affordable rates. Bishal Acharya, Managing Director of Evolution Enterprise pvt ltd says “We are pleased to introduce ZTE mobiles in Nepal. ZTE Blade Series phones come with high-tech features and are affordable at the same time. With the launch of these three 4G supportive devices, we are optimistic that ZTE will establish itself as a popular and competitive brand in the domestic mobile phone industry.” The Blade S6 is the world’s first Android-L mobile phone which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Octacore 1.5GHz processor. It is user-friendly, functional and comes alive with a five-inch Full HD display. The phone claims to change the camera-using experience for consumers with its 13MP Sony IMX214 rear camera with Professional Mode and a 5MP front-facing camera. Backed up by a powerful 2400 mAh battery and is priced at Rs 15,990. The D2 in the Blade series is popularly known as the ‘Battery phone’ since it is backed up by a 4000 mAh battery. It offers a staggering 35 days of standby time, at least 18 hours of internet surfing, 35 hours of continuous calls, 76 hours of listening to music and 18 hours of video marathon. The Quad-core processor phone has a five-inch HD IPS Curved Display and sports 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. Priced at Rs 10,990 it has 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM. The Blade D3 operates on 1.3GHz Quad-Core Processor and has five-inch HD IPS display. The sleek phone has 13MP rear camera with professional mode and is popularly known as the ‘Selfie phone’ with a great 8MP front-facing camera. It is available for Rs 12,500. According to the company, ZTE mobile phones are available across 28 re-distributor network of ZTE across Nepal.
